About

My little brother was about to leave for uni in the US and he convinced me to start a blog. “It’ll be easier to keep in touch” he said. As he manages to sucker me into most things (for example, joining Facebook, which I dislike), it’s no surprise that I did what he said and started a blog the very night he was due to leave.

Over time this blog has evolved into a way of giving my family and close friends around the world a glimpse into my life away from them. It’s easier to write about an interesting day I’ve had – complete with pictures – just the once, rather than write it up in several emails.

Unfortunately, whilst this was all good I was – and still am – paranoid that my close friends here will one day inadvertently stumble upon my blog, and worse of all, read it daily without telling me that they were doing just so. As I said, this is for my family and friends who are away from me and not for those who are actually with me to read my thoughts on them or on my life because that would be too creepy; I don’t need anyone to live that much inside my head.

Which is why some of my posts are password protected. It’s not because I’m stuck up and difficult, but more a case of not wanting to be found nor recognised. The password protected posts will have personal pictures of me and other recognisable persons in them. Family, friends and regular readers will have passwords to these posts. Very personal posts are reserved for family only.

So if you’re reading this and you think you know me, STOP! Haha. Complete stranger? Welcome! :P

As for my little brother, he doesn’t read my blog. I think he read the first couple of entries but that’s about it. He’s too busy trying to juggle the workload at uni, life in a foreign environment and a very active social life. So much for keeping in touch! LOL.
