Bit of a Blip
I had a bad day health-wise. Both in terms of food intake and exercise. How am I ever going to train myself up to doing any sort of sport for any sustained amount of time like this?!
Today I had a major meeting that lasted practically the whole day. I had intended to have a banana when everyone else was having the usual meeting sandwiches and then maybe going out to get a late lunch for myself once the meeting had ended. But the sandwiches arrived and once I had eaten my banana my resolved crumbled and I decided I couldn’t be bothered to go out after the meeting after all (the meetings are actually very draining mentally so after a meeting I just like to rest, surf the net a bit and stuff like that). So I ate a few sandwiches. 5 to be exact. Actually that’s not a lot because the sandwiches are small triangles; one is roughly a quarter of a normal sandwich of two pieces of bread put together. The bad thing about those sandwiches is the filling, I’m sure it’s all relatively unhealthy even though I tried to keep to healthier choices like ham and salad, chicken and salad and so on. Anyway the main thing is, I shouldn’t eat bread because I think bread bloats me and is not a good carb for me at all. So that was no good. At least I didn’t attack the little tray of dessert pastries.
I actually brought back some sandwiches for GM just to give him a sample of what kind of food I normally have in meetings. I’m not sure he enjoyed them that much haha. They’re really not very good. That didn’t stop my colleague from saving all the leftovers for her breakfast AND lunch tomorrow though.
Food Diary
Breakfast – One banana
Lunch – Three ham and salad sandwiches, one chicken and salad, one chicken and sweetcorn
Snack – One banana
Dinner – Bowl of cherries and one big slice cherry clafoutis. My lunch was so heavy I was too full to have a proper dinner. The cherry clafoutis was still nice! That was the last of it though.
Drink – Peppermint tea
Drink – English tea with milk
Drink – Water
Exercise
None!
Tomorrow will be a better day, I know this because I am going out for Italian for dinner tomorrow, yay! Hehe.

Food Diary Day 7

I went out shopping today. My mate has two weddings to attend next month so I was summoned out to help her find a couple of outfits. In a way I quite enjoy the challenge of finding outfits for people but I hadn’t been shopping for months and I don’t actually like shopping anymore so it was a bit stressful. Anyway the day was a great success because she got an entire outfit complete with shoes and half of another. All very nice stuff. And I managed to get myself a blazer and two very very comfy pairs of shoes so I am thrilled.
I was meant to meet with a different group of friends for dinner tonight but I was so knackered from a whole afternoon spent in the shops that I decided to give the planned dinner a miss and went for an impromptu one with my shopping friend instead. We had sushi! I had been wanting to eat sushi for a while so that was nice. I got the cheapest sushi set though with all the cheap fish for £19. The menu at the restaurant was quite funny; a chirashi bowl was described as “a selection of fresh fish…..” but a deluxe chirashi bowl for £5 more was described as “a selection of freshest fish……” hahaha. So never get the plain chirashi bowl guys, the fish is fresh, but not that fresh.
Food Diary Day 7
Breakfast – Muesli with skimmed milk
Dinner – One sushi set as above. You see the two pieces of whitish fish (bottom row in the middle and the pinky one next to the prawn)? One was sea bass and the other turbot. I never knew sea bass and turbot could be eaten raw. They were quite firm.
Dessert – One bowl red bean soup
Dessert – One slice cherry clafoutis. This tasted just as good room temperature as it did warm.
Drink – Green tea
Drink – Water
