The Knacks
I’m absolute knacks, as Andy would say. It means “I’m absolutely knackered”.
I just spent almost the whole afternoon preparing and cooking an early dinner for Tap, Hci, Oha, Imu, and Man. You all should be able to figure out who I’m talking about by switching the letters of their names round a bit haha. I’m still paranoid as ever as you can see.
I think dinner went well. I took some photos of the food I cooked, but I’m too tired now to upload them so I will do that when I get home from my conference on Tuesday.
I’m really not looking forward to tomorrow’s conference, the overnight stay, the continuation of the conference on Tuesday……. mainly because I will know practically no one, and I heard we’ll have to do exercises and play games! I thought a conference was for people to talk AT us, not for us to participate in. But anyway, I’m sure I’ll survive. I’m just going to put on my thick skin and forge ahead. If anything embarrassing happens to me, like being picked to do some stupid shit on stage, I’ll do it, chalk it down to experience, and live. It’ll be a funny thing to look back on and laugh about, just like when I got picked to read the damn prayer at the end of one Thai massage class that time. My friends were laughing like mad, and I had to say the prayer out loud, whilst trying not to giggle. It was really painful but it added something to my whole Thai massage course experience. I’m glad I did that course, it’s one of the more adventurous experiences I’ve had.

Harlo Thar!
I’m really pleased with how my blog looks! But obviously some further fine tuning needs to be done, nothing that can’t wait though!
This would be the worst week in which to resume blogging because it’s gotten cold as of today, and I really don’t feel like going out or doing things, which translates into – I have nothing to put in my blog.
All the rest of this week I shall be sitting home and vegetating, eating huge meals, watching reruns of X-Factor on tv! =) Coolbeans.
I came upon Andy just now, hunched over the computer looking at products online. When I asked what he was doing, he said he was looking for a leaving present for his office mates to give him! I wasn’t aware this was de rigueur in accounting circles :O I thought the general idea was that people bought you whatever they saw fit but apparently not in Andy’s world haha. Anyway, this is one of the “maybes”
It’s an Ultra Magnus bust. It doesn’t do anything but sit there. Haha! Very odd.

Tickets Tickets Tickets
Finally it’s Friday night.
This week has seemed an eternity. Which is odd if you think about it as, if you’ll recall, Monday was a bank holiday so in actual fact it was a four day week. What I fear now is that if this week dragged so much, next week will be impossible as it is a bona fide five day work week. But we’ll think about that when Sunday evening rolls round. Meanwhile, let’s rejoice that it’s the weekend!
I’m still not feeling 100%. We tried to go jogging this evening and even made it as far as the park, all dressed up in our jogging gear (which can double up as pyjamas for me). I even made attempts at jogging but my ankle really hurt. I think I may have sprained it. I hope not though as I hope to go jogging again this weekend. I suppose all the stair walking at work has taken its toll on my creaky joints.
We don’t know what we’re doing tomorrow yet. I wanted to go to Portobello Market to buy more cardies, but I think we might take it easy instead. Especially as I kind of promised Mari (girl from work) today that we’ll go together a couple of weekends from now. No point going twice in almost as many weeks right?
The Plain White T’s are enjoying some success over here due to their “Hey There Delilah” and are playing at various venues over the next couple of weeks. I say some success because I’m guessing they’re not hugely popular yet seeing as how all their venues are uni halls and such. Their tickets are sold out though, so some people appreciate them at least. Or maybe it’s cos they were so dead cheap; only £8.50 per ticket. I just saw their singer doing his “Hey There Delilah” thing at the Reading Festival on tv. He’s not very pretty, bless. I’d go so far as to say he was plain bordering on unpleasantly so.
I was going to buy tickets to see Ricky Gervais’ stand-up show sometime in November I think, and I consulted Andy who then came up with the bright idea of watching Simon Amstell instead. Simon Amstell is a less well-known comedian than Ricky Gervais having not been in any sitcoms, but he has a really wicked, dry sense of humour. And his tickets are very reasonable, so we’re seeing him in October, before we go off to Japan!
All this talk about tickets reminds me that I have to book my open air theatre tickets for next Friday very very soon. This is because despite not having booked them yet, I lied to ML and said I’d already done so. I did this to spur her on to answer my sms query quicker, but it didn’t work anyway so now I’m caught in the uncomfortable position of having told a lie without achieving my desired result. She does get on my nerves the way she doesn’t reply. It’s not like she can’t afford the cost of one measly sms. What would be funny is if all the tickets are sold out before I rouse myself up to book them and we can’t go even though I apparently already have the tickets. Haha.
